Nick Baldock
WRITER | ACTOR | HISTORIAN

Nick Baldock is a Cambridge and Yale graduate with a PhD in History. He went on to train at New York's American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
As a writer, Nick pens straight plays, non-straight plays and musicals. Most recently, his songs have been heard at the Producers Club and Duplex Cabaret in Manhattan. Three of his plays are currently in the workshop stage, including a musical adaptation of THE WINTER'S TALE.
Nick is an alumnus of Royal Court's Young Writers programme. He secured his place as a result of an early draft of NOTHING TO YOU.
VERGE OF STRIFE, a play about the celebrated WWI poet Rupert Brooke, was produced at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. It was selected as one of the Top five shows and was reviewed as 'spectacular', 'captivating' and 'poetic'.
As an actor, Nick has appeared in shows including Troilus and Cressida, Much Ado About Nothing, Noises Off, The Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, The 39 Steps and Ladies in Retirement, and has also (rather surprisingly) acted for the English National Opera.
